2020 IS UPON US
After strong performances in 2019, with all five teams making finals and three making the Grand Final, we look forward to another exciting year in 2020.
Damian Boots remains the Senior Coach and Kevin Whitford remains as Football Director. Damian and Kevin have interviewed a number of potential recruits, with our major concentration on recruiting Old Scholars, who are playing elsewhere.
The Club moves into Division 2 this year, which means our Men's teams are Div 2, Div 2 Reserves, C2 and our D grade will play in C7.
Our A grade Women's team, which again performed superbly in 2019, also moves up a division and will now play in Division 2. This is a remarkable performance for a team that has only been together for 2 years and a credit to Tom Sexton and his coaching panel.
The Club will continue to build on the solid foundations that have been put in place over the years and we look forward to the support of the old Iggies community, past players and friends as we move into the season.
OIFC players, both men & women, have been training since November last year. There is a healthy mix of old faces and fresh new faces. A good number of new Old Scholars, both men and women, have joined the Club and bring great enthusiasm.
We continue to liaise with Aquinas and hope to see a number of new players again in 2020.
