2011-12 Pre-Season
We've recruited (listed in no particular order):
- Tom Bielby - 21yo - 40 odd Reserves games for Norwood the last 2 years. Is lightning quick, fit as and wears the most ridiculous clothing you'll see!! He’s keen to come and play with his brother and help build a side ready to win a flag in Div 2.
- Pat Kerin - 19yo - 40 odd U/18 and Reserves for Norwood over the last 2 years, Old Scholar who is an endurance machine, great skills, high marking utility that is ready to show up all his mates from school........especially Grego!
- Luke Mensforth - 25yo - a man mountain forward from Freeling in the Barossa who kicked 78 goals last year in the bottom team ("They didn't deliver it to me well all year" he said!) Luke is 6ft 4, weighs 100kg and is agile as a gazelle, he has played League footy for West Adelaide and after teaching with Whiteman, Bourkey & Haarsma at Blackfriars is looking for a new challenge in his footy career.
- Sam Cook - 21yo – Athelstone B&F winning centreman last year, smarter than Patty Connelly, great athlete who has super skills and playing awareness. You might remember him from the game at Athelstone last year………he was the blonde on baller who turned the game on it’s ear and was BOG! Sam is looking for a new challenge to his footy and is looking to grow with a young and exciting group at OIFC.
- Joe Bielby – 19yo – will be returning to us from overseas and is looking forward to making his older brother look silly on the field this year!
